The Dr. Hugo Mendoza Pediatric Hospital offers specialized pediatric care for children with a variety of pediatric specialties and subspecialties for children up to 16 years of age. The facility includes specialized pediatric equipment, hospital spaces, colors, and environment to promote a positive and healthy child friendly atmosphere. The 4 story hospital includes one hundred ninety one beds in single and double rooms, divided into 3 inpatient hospitalization areas of: 5 to 16 years old, 2 months to 5 years, and newborns. The facility includes both childrens and neonatal intensive care units, fully equipped operating rooms, a pediatric emergency room, and pediatric outpatient medical care through twenty one (21) medical offices. In addition, the hospital contains a full list of support services and amenities including: a fully equipped laboratory, kitchen, laundry, chapel, library, administrative offices, auditorium, backup and electrical generators, among others.
