Hugo Mendoza: First Dominican hospital included in the 2020 Ranking of Clinics and Hospitals

Santo Domingo.- EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO. - The Pediatric Hospital Dr. Hugo Mendoza (HMPH) was recently included in the edition of the prestigious 2020 Ranking list of Clinics and Hospitals prepared by América Economy Intelligence, which selects every year the best hospitals in Latin America.

With a score of 55.5, it ranks 59th out of 63 health centers evaluated by the prestigious international journal.

It should be noted that hundreds of hospitals in Latin America and the Caribbean were evaluated in the following areas: human capital, safety, capacity, knowledge management, prestige, efficiency, and patient experience. Achieving the HMPH to be a finalist in the mentioned list.

In just 7 years, the HMPH has been characterized by the humanization of services, continuous improvement, and the use of cutting-edge technologies at the service of health. It has obtained the National Quality Award, a silver medal in 2015, gold medal in 2016 and the Grand National Quality Award in 2017.

In 2019, it became the first organization in the country's health sector to obtain the Ibero-American Quality Award, a gold medal, and second in the country to achieve it within the two decades of these awards.

In November 2020, the Presidential Office of Information and Communication Technology (POICT) recognized the HPHM with the NORTIC GOLD 2020 for having achieved more than 5 certifications through the implementation and compliance of the regulatory framework of Information Technology and Communication from the Digital Government of the Dominican Republic.

For the defense and promotion of the human rights of children and adolescents, the European Union, and the United Nations Organization in its first edition in the Public Sector category the "National Human Rights Award 2020" last December.
