IBT of Miami’s quality design and construction of a pediatric hospital in the Dominican Republic laid the foundation for the certification of its kitchen for food safety and sanitation.

The Dominican Republic’s Presidential Offices of Information Technology and Communications (OPTIC) recognized the hospital for exceptional health and safety in food handling in a health-care environment. Among other awards, the four-story pediatric hospital holds the National Award for Quality granted by the Ministry of Public Administration.
The pediatric hospital is one of four hospitals in the “City of Health” complex built by IBT in the city of Santo Domingo. The Dr. Ney Arias Lora Traumatology Hospital nearby in the complex was one of only five hospitals in the Dominican Republic to be ranked on the most recent HospiRank list of best equipped hospitals in Latin America.
The hospital, with 190 beds in single and double rooms, is equipped with specialized pediatric equipment, operating rooms, an emergency room, medical offices, intensive care units, support services, and amenities.
