Peru – Scenarios and opportunities for public – private partnerships (PPP)

November 2015 - Peru - The Lima University Graduated School organized a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) International Seminar, that was held from November 17 to 19th, 2015. It was reflected that this type of association facilitates to create, develop, improve, operate or maintain infrastructure and public services in the country.

During the conference, Daniel Querub general manager of IBT Group and promoter of PPP, efficient models of public investment; recalled that: “one part of the government role is to regulate certain markets, but their ultimate goal is to create wealth for every dollar spent." In this sense, and given the current low levels of public spending, it concludes that PPP are an efficient tool for the construction and operation of public services for the long-term alternative.
